Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator
The Armenian Church is a national monument surrounded by beautiful natural gardens and is located in the heart of Singapore within walking distance from the Registry of Marriages and next to many fine hotels.
They typically allow 2 weddings per day – a morning one from 9am to 1pm and an afternoon one from 2pm to 6pm. The seating capacity of the church is about 100 while the lovely adjacent garden area can accommodate up to 200 guests for an outdoor reception. The park offers 3 event spaces to choose from – Costa Lawn, Native Lawn and Viewing Plaza.
For weddings, the Viewing Plaza is the most popular choice to go with. Not only will you be able to exchange your vows amidst the beauty of nature, the lush greenery also offers stunning photo opportunities. The whole space can also accommodate up to 800 people.
It is however important to note that cooking and warming of food using gas cylinders are not allowed. Washing and rinsing of dishes are also prohibited. Hence, it is also recommended to get a caterer familiar with the venue to minimise chances of damage to the site.
